Michael McLean Jr
Michael McLean Jr. has over 25 years of experience in real estate consulting and development, managing over $400 million in projects from concept through construction. His expertise spans due diligence, financial modeling, zoning & entitlements, community engagement, sustainable design, and master planning. He has worked across various sectors, including office, senior housing, hospitality, industrial, and residential projects nationwide.
As Head of Development at Condor Partners, Michael oversees all real estate development activities, leveraging investment to create lasting community impact. His work has generated hundreds of local jobs and millions in recurring investments.
Michael holds a BA in Sociology from Princeton University, where he played football and lacrosse, and a Master of Science from NYU focused on International Development and Finance. He has served two terms on the MWDEBE Committee for the City of Evanston and on the Board of Directors for Evanston Downtown and Art Encounter. He has also been a mentor for WE Evanston, a member of MEAC (Evanston’s Mayors Employment Advisory Council), and is a member of Lambda Alpha International.
His work has been featured in Politico, Chicago Tribune, Crain’s, Bisnow, Block Club, and more. Recognized as a "visionary" and "what [community partnership] success looks like," his awards include Rehab of the Year (IL), Senior Housing Development of the Year (IL), and Best Hotels of the World (Fodor’s). Michael lives in Evanston, IL, with his wife and two children and coaches youth sports.
